Don’t miss the second Niteflix outdoor movie event set for Saturday, July 21
Aside from North Lime Donut’s recent grand opening at the Edison Center, the second installment of the new outdoor movie series, “Niteflix”, will be held there on Saturday, July 21. The featured film will be the 1986 version of “Aliens.”
Food and beverage vendors will be selling their wares when doors open at 7:30 p.m. with the movie starting when it’s dark. North Lime Coffee & Donuts will be selling special “Aliens”-themed donuts. Old Louisville Brewery and Old 502 Winery will be on hand, too.
If you’re planning to go, you might want to show up early to grab your spot in the lot. The first Niteflix drew quite a crowd. Be sure to bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the show. But please do not bring alcohol, pets, glass containers or coolers. The event is canceled if it rains.
Edison Center owner Weyland Ventures is pleased to see the facility serving as a connecting point for neighbors in Old Louisville. “We think our effort to renovate and reopen the Edison Center a couple of years ago happened at the right time to enable the building to become both a hub of commerce and a place of recreation for our neighbors,” said Weyland Ventures CEO Maria Weyland Gratz.
BTW — Mark your calendars! The final summer Niteflix event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 11, when “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” will be shown.
