Niteflix wraps for the summer with showing of “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade”
More than 100 Old Louisville neighbors, as well as other movie goers from the community, carried their lawn chairs to the parking of Weyland Venture’s Edison Center on Saturday, Aug. 11, for the third and final 2018 installment of the Niteflix outdoor movies series. The featured film was “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade” — chosen by the employees of generous sponsor and Old Louisville neighbor Genscape Inc.
Many of the movie goers enjoyed the tasty fare of Boo Boo’s Smoke Shack food truck and purchased beverages from Old Louisville Brewery and Old 502 Winery. For dessert? North Lime Donuts was just a few steps away where specialty movie donuts were available.
The second Niteflix was held on Saturday, July 21, when the featured film shown was the 1986 version of “Aliens.” Inclement weather that swept through the area that evening, but fortunately the rain stopped in time for “Aliens” to be shown to a hearty group of almost 50 movie goers.
Thanks go to Old Louisville resident Trisha Siegelstein, who contributed great creative energy and a passion for building Old Louisville neighborliness, and Weyland Ventures’ Leigh Robinson who coordinated venue logistics. Their teamwork brought Niteflix to life!
Stay tuned for more Niteflix movies as well as events at the Edison Center.
